The M4 toll plaza is located at Auburn. The toll is payable in both the eastbound and westbound directions and is based on the size of the vehicle.

Dedicated non-stop electronic tolling lanes 7 & 8 are marked with the logo , and are to be used by electronic tags and accepted passes only. These lanes have a 70kph speed limit. Tags must be mounted on the vehicle's windscreen using the method advised by the tag issuer.

Vehicles must not stop in these lanes as they are used for free flowing traffic. If you use these marked lanes in error, do not stop but keep driving through the toll plaza. You can then call our Customer Service Centre on 1300 88 00 99 to make a deferred toll payment.

The electronic tolling lanes are separated from the other lanes to ensure that vehicles moving through the toll plaza at speed do not jeopardise the safety of motorists who have to stop to pay the toll.

Electronic tags are also accepted in the EXACT TOLL payment lanes 3, 5 and 6. These are mixed payment lanes with boom gates that require motorists with an electronic tag to slow down and PREPARE TO STOP. Motorists paying by cash or Motorcycle Card will need to STOP to pay the toll.
